CAA President signs a memorandum of establishing a Throwing Training Center in Cairo



 

On the sidelines of the combined U18 and U20 African Championships that take place from 16 to 20 April 2019 in Abidjan, Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and during a media conference that witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding for establishing a Throwing Training Center in Cairo. Mr. Hamad Kalkaba, the President of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), praised the potential of Egypt and its superiority in throwing competitions and said that the center will provide an opportunity for all African athletes to develop their levels through training in this center, which is located in Cairo Stadium.

From the Egyptian side, Dr. Hamdi Abdel Rahim, the Director of African Athletics Development Centre Cairo, signed the same memorandum and expressed his deep thanks to Mr. Hamad Kalkaba, the President of the CAA, for achieving this dream which has been with us for years and now it is finally a fact.

In addition, he thanks Mr. Lamine Fati, the General Director of the CAA and Dr. Aziz Daouda, Technical and Development Director of the CAA for their sincere efforts to activate this center.
